Is it Thursday? The good lord says yes, oh yes, to puppets and plaster
Let me start by apologizing. I read most of the other work put up on the site, but my literary background is non-existent. I don’t have anything productive to add to your works. I likes ‘em though, for what it’s worth.
So, Puppets Put in Plaster, Pantomimical Pastiches of Present P….
Stuff.
This week we were trying Plaster molds in our Puppet workshop, now known as Mache Mardis. We had some ups, some downs, and they’re mostly caught on tape, as we did a time lapse of our work.
I added a narration to the video, increasing the length by 100%. I hope it’s entertaining. We certainly enjoyed making it. Next week will probably be better, as we’ll be a bit more experienced with the mold-making, but we’ll be making casts! OOOooooohhhh Exciting!
Enjoy the video

Assuming that just worked….
It was a lot of fun, and a good experience. We’ll be casting the backs of the heads next week, and hopefully casting some …. casts? from the molds.

That was great. I love how-tos. I hope all this turns into something for you, preferably a puppet srp…

Hey, how do I do the Facebook post? Just post a comment with the youtube link? Oh, and thanks for the SRP jibe.
“Imagine, if you will, the city, but with PUPPETS…”

Danny, this was great! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your process work!

Well Danny- very interesting indeed! I’d like to point out a couple of things… 1. if you like any of the work on this site, that’s enough! Poetry is for the people! 2. Puppets/masks are cool! I learned how to make a few molds of things using different types of materials while studying museum science because I had to learn how to make “repros”, that is, reproductions of objects which had to look real.
It was really fun and I learned a lot. So hope to see your final products in the next video.
Well done! Cheers!

You have a very good speaking voice, you should do infomercials haha. Your video was really informative and interesting, Great job. Are you thinking of filming some of your puppet plays and posting them?

I agree with Rory… Bring Us Puppet Plays!
